Saturated medium ruby, aromas of dark berries, chocolate and eucalyptus. Juicy cranberry and pomegranate flavors as well as licorice and herbs show depth. Ultra smooth, lingering finish.
The Wolftrap is a spicy, aromatic, red blend that has been French oak matured. The name is a tribute to the pioneers who in the early days of the Cape, erected a wolf trap at Boekenhoutskloof. To date, no wolf either real or mystical has been seen in the valley.
This wine reminds us of all that we love of hot Summer days and warm breezy nights. This delicious strawberry and cream Rosé has a pale yet attractive watermelon pink color . It is summer fresh with aromatic floral notes, a crisp dry finish and a very well-structured natural acidity.
A crisp Sauvignon blanc packed with grenadilla, guava and greenpepper on the palate, but tropicality and pomelo linger on a great finish. It is luscious with firm unaggressive acid and a true result of one of the best vintages in terms of quality, due to a fantastic wet winter.
Golden-green colour, with good muscat and citrus flavours, as well as some lychees and herbs. Excellent balance on the taste - definitely not too sweet or cloying. Lovely lingering aftertaste. This wine, although well-priced, is aimed at the premium segment of the market.
Known as the original Coffee / Chocolate Pinotage. It is one of our favorites with the 2007 winning The People's Choice at the Durban Mercury Wine Week, WineX - Cape Town & WineX - Joburg. It's a perfect wine to introduce the uninitiated to the world of pinotage, accessible to the novice and intriguing to the expert. You will not be disappointed.
On the nose this Shiraz begins initially with rich plum that gradually gives way to cloves and white pepper, finishing with a whiff of perfume. The palate yields a good supple tannin structure and spicy fruit finish. Drink now or cellar up to 5 years.
The Cape Roan is a lightly oaked blend with Shiraz dominating, in the style of the Rhone Valley. There is an abundance of dark plummy fruit and nuances of smoky spiciness on the nose, which follow through on the palate.
