It has been recognized as a World heritage site and has under increasing threat from agriculture, urban development and invasive exotic species. Most of this ‘fynbos’ is growing in wine producing areas, so together with the country’s conservation sector, the wine industry pioneered a partnership called the BWI. These wines listed below are from wineries who are members or champions of the BWI. They have set aside part of their land for conservation where this kingdom can thrive.
