Cape Ardor launched their Summer / Fall Wine Portfolio on July 23 2009. The portfolio features a well rounded collection of quality South African wines.  Varietals included a Viognier, a Merlot, 2 Blends (Rhone & Bordeaux), a boutique Cabernet Sauvignon , an award winning Shiraz and a cult popular Pinotage. Also featured was the Reserve collection from Diemersfontein wines of which there are a limited supply.

The event took place at San Francisco's popular destination - Cav Wine Bar and Kitchen. Sixty to 100 people were expected and over 200 showed up!

It was an amazing turn out that leveraged traditional and social networking 'word of mouth' marketing.

All of the wines were showcased through Cav Wine Bar & Kitchen and orders could be placed by the glass, bottle or case. The Diemersfontein Pinotage was sold out by the middle of the evening and the Ridgeback Viognier followed close behind. The Diemersfontein Malbec proved to be very popular followed by bottles of Raka's Biography Shiraz & Quinary that were seen exiting the premises in the hands of happy consumers.

It was an enormous success and the grass roots approach to introduce South Africa's quality and value wines is successfully making is way through the Bay Area and onto the rest of California!
