Sijnn (pronounced ‘Sin’) is the award-winning result of an exciting new vineyard venture. A small run-down ostrich and grain farm was purchased early in 2004 by David Trafford and a few strategic partners with an idea of turning barren land into a successful vineyard – and they struck gold. The vineyard goes under the name of Malagas Wine Company, named after a nearby village and at this stage there are no other vineyards within a 40km radius. The fruits of their labor and determination has proven to be a huge success, as these ‘crazy’ blends show both the warmth of the climate but also the cool precision that comes with a coastal location. Described as ‘ serious South African blends’, both these wines are an attribute to any wine lovers collection.
